So where do I begin… I must say that I was very excited to begin using my new RV.
Even though it is an ambulance that’s converted it feels like an RV to me! In fact it feels like a New York studio apartment! or better yet it reminds me more of a cruise ship stateroom because of the fiberglass that it is made from and the formica on the inside. Plus the very fact that I can change my surrounding at any time. Oh, by the way, the lights…. siren.. and PA speakers all work as it was from the factory… The (red) lights are replaced with white lights.
Since it was a night game and it was the opening night of the NFL season on a Thursday…. I decided to arrive at before the rush hour traffic let out.
It was an uneventful drive there which was about 14 miles to arrive to the Raymond James Stadium area.
After I first arrived at Tampa Stadium I was going to go to a Park at a City Park that I know about that is across from the stadium with FREE front-row parking spots. To my surprise that was not going to be the case because as I pulled into the park everything was blocked off for press or for VIP parking and my free parking options that I thought would be available were short-lived.
I then drove all the way around Tampa Stadium using Dale Mabry and Himes, looking at nearby lots. Everybody wanted to charge for parking but I found one where they were not charging parking (yet) and it was in a perfect spot right across from the stadium. l
Later someone came by and asked me to pay because basically I was on the front row.
It was $30 to park and I stayed at the game OurTime which it was a night game and did not end until around midnight.
Fortunately for me, I drove my electric scooter around the parking lot after everyone left and I was able to gather a couple more bucks swag items for my collection basically I found 3 flags which I had not had before.
I’m attaching all the photographs of the event and o took a lot of live video …. I will come back and add the links to the live video as I find them. They will be added to this posting…
It was a very good day trip excursion – I got to use all my creature comforts the ambulance has.
